World Series Of Poker 1970 - 2007

The World Series of Poker is the largest poker tournament in the world. Each year thousands of pokerplayers

travel to Las Vegas  to take part in one or more of the World Series of Poker sub-events,

and from this population about 8,000 will make their way to the main World Series of Poker main

event held in Las Vegas.  Last years winner Jamie Gold took home $12,000,000

    Three Time Champion of the World Series of Poker

     

    World-renowned poker player Stu Ungar, who won Binion's Horseshoe World Series of Poker three times and earned millions gambling, was found dead Sunday morning in a motel on Las Vegas Boulevard.


     Stu "The Kid" Ungar was found in a single room of the Oasis Motel, 1731 Las Vegas Blvd. South, with about $800 in his pocket, some documents and no physical trauma, motel manager Peter Napoli said.
